Common questions
What if my CPVC is Schedule 40 or Schedule 80?
Read the print on the pipe. SharkBite's tan-collar fittings fit copper-tube-size CPVC, the kind made to ASTM D2846. Its white-collar PVC fittings, such as the CTS x PVC transition coupling, also fit Schedule 40 and 80 CPVC.
How hot can the water be at this joint?
SharkBite rates its fittings on CPVC to the pipe's own limit, and Charlotte Pipe rates its FlowGuard Gold CTS CPVC for water up to 180°F at 100 psi.
